Fazilah Shaik ALLAUDIN Penang State Health

Dr. Fazilah Shaik ALLAUDIN is currently the Penang State Health Director responsible for all health-related matters in the State from strategic planning, implementation of policies, monitoring, surveillance, and enforcement. Prior to this, was the Senior Deputy Director of Planning Division. Held various leadership roles in MOH and hospital with significant portion of career has been in policy & strategy for health system transformation agenda, and project management mainly Hospital Information Systems.

For over a decade, has been leading digital health & innovation strategies and collaborations both locally and internationally. Often represents Malaysia at regional and global platforms in digital health including ASEAN and WHO. Has been the general council member for Asia eHealth Information Network (AeHIN) for more than 10 years.

In previous role, led the nationwide EMR project and the national agenda of Lifetime Health Record. Additionally, drove policy and regulatory framework development in digital health & innovation.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, led multiple teams in infection prevention & control, occupational safety & health, patient safety and mortality review, and, advanced the digital agenda within the nation’s COVID-19 response.

Since 27 January 2024, appointed as member of the Malaysian Medical Council (elected) for a period of 3 years.
